What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 79/100
The available commentary says Bose has improved audio quality over the first-generation Ultra, but What Hi-Fi finds the latest Sony, Sennheiser and Bowers & Wilkins rivals ahead sonically. The reviews provided do not break down the tuning in detail, so there is limited evidence on specific aspects of the presentation.
Bass
79/100
The supplied reviews do not specifically discuss bass extension, impact or control. The broader verdict is that sound has improved over the previous Ultra, though leading rivals are said to be ahead overall.
Midrange
80/100
There is no direct commentary on vocals, instrumental timbre or midrange presence in the provided excerpts. What Hi-Fi nevertheless considers the sound improved versus the original model.
Treble
79/100
The reviews provided say little about treble air, smoothness or fatigue. The overall sound comparison suggests an improvement, without placing it among the strongest current flagship wireless headphones.
Resolution Detail
79/100
Neither review excerpt directly assesses fine-detail retrieval, separation or transparency. What Hi-Fi's view that newer competitors have moved ahead in sound tempers the otherwise positive indication of improvement.
Soundstage Imaging
78/100
The supplied material does not describe stage size, image placement or spatial layering. There is therefore little reviewer evidence to distinguish its spatial performance from competing ANC flagships.
Dynamics
79/100
The reviews say little about punch, transient attack or dynamic nuance. Bose is described as having improved the original Ultra's audio performance, but no specific dynamic strengths are identified.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Comfort Fit
92/100
Comfort is a clear strength in the available coverage: eCoustics highlights Bose's familiar comfort, while What Hi-Fi calls the design smart and nicely fitting. The over-ear design is presented as easy to live with alongside its extensive noise-cancelling capabilities.
Build Quality
76/100
What Hi-Fi describes the headphones as smartly designed, but the supplied reviews offer little direct assessment of durability, hinges, materials or long-term wear. The removable cushions are a practical ownership positive.
Features Usability
94/100
What Hi-Fi says the headphones barely put a foot wrong for features and comfort, praising class-leading noise cancellation and a wealth of functionality. eCoustics also notes USB-C audio and improved battery life, while the specification list includes adjustable ANC, Bluetooth 5.4, app support and a 30-hour battery claim.
Value for Money
85/100
At $369-$449, these sit in the premium wireless ANC segment. None of the supplied reviews directly judges whether the asking price is compelling against peers, although What Hi-Fi's comment that rival brands are ahead in sound is worth considering for sound-first buyers.
