Bose Bose QuietComfort Earbuds

What Hi-Fi praises deep, full-bodied bass with plentiful detail and texture. PortaFi also finds it impactful and tight, with an energetic emphasis that suits pop and electronic music, although it is not aimed at listeners wanting extreme bass quantity.

Vocals, piano and strings are described as natural and believable by What Hi-Fi. PortaFi hears warm, musical mids with good weight, particularly for lower male vocals, while boosted upper mids add clarity to female voices.

PortaFi finds the treble energetic and reasonably clear, with DSP helping restore some perceived upper-frequency presence. The extra lower-treble energy may be a little much for treble-sensitive listeners, and extension is not presented as a standout strength.

What Hi-Fi hears a rich presentation that extracts substantial detail and lets lyrics flow easily. PortaFi considers resolution good for a true wireless model, but notes that fine nuances, dense layering and overtone saturation are less fully developed than on stronger wired options.

PortaFi describes the stage as slightly above average for true wireless earbuds and on the larger side for the format. There is little further reviewer discussion of imaging precision or stage depth.

What Hi-Fi highlights power, poise and a fantastic sense of dynamism. PortaFi likewise finds the V-shaped tuning lively, with punchy beats and well-balanced attacks and decays that make the sound enjoyable and cohesive.

What Hi-Fi finds the generously shaped supplied tips easy to seal despite there being only three sizes. PortaFi reports that the earbuds stayed secure while jogging and achieved useful passive isolation without deep canal insertion.

What Hi-Fi found the earbuds light enough to wear for several hours without issue. PortaFi especially liked that the ear-facing contact is soft silicone rather than hard plastic, reporting a notably comfortable fit with the smallest tips.

What Hi-Fi says the maximum setting removes huge swathes of background noise while maintaining comfort. PortaFi calls the active noise cancelling the best it has heard among true wireless models, finding it effective against office chatter, appliances and outdoor interruptions.

Reviewers describe tactile outer shells, robust glossy sections and a solid, durable-feeling charging case, albeit a chunky one. The package includes three unusual silicone tip pairs, a USB charging cable, quick charging and Qi wireless charging support, though the tip selection is not especially broad.

At its original roughly $280 asking price, PortaFi considered the earbuds expensive even alongside Sony and Apple alternatives. What Hi-Fi considers them an appealing purchase when discounted, which is particularly relevant given the current listed price range of $129 to $179.
