The iconic Beogram 3000 series, upgraded into one modern-day turntable hifi system. Limited edition of 100 units.

Beogram 3000 turntables from the 1980s have been given new life by our craftspeople. Paired with a set of Beolab 8 speakers, together they become the Beosystem 3000c.

Engraved, sealed, delivered

Available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, each Beogram 3000c is engraved with its edition number and certificate of authenticity. Your chance to own a piece of history, remastered for tomorrow.

Uncompromising design

Unheard of precision. In 1972, we invented the world’s first electronically controlled tangential tracking turntable, and it sounds as revolutionary today as it did then.

Released in the 1980s, Beogram 3000 carried tangential tracking into the next decade. Beogram 3000c’s tonearm still sits securely in the grooves, guaranteeing a rich listening experience and high-quality playback — as it was in the studio.

Coming full circle

Our signature patterned platter sits centre stage, while an elevated base gives the sense that Beogram 3000c is hovering above the surface. According to the designer, Steve McGugan, the idea was to create the illusion of a floating object. This is classic Bang & Olufsen design language, brought forward.

Past meets future

Beogram 3000c pairs with two Beolab 8 stereo speakers, connecting the past to the rich detail and powerful playback of today. Spin your albums and stream your music, all in one easy-to-use system.

This system caters to your whole collection, both analogue and digital — radiating the warm crackle of vinyl one minute, streaming your favourite playlists the next.

Less is more

When Beogram 3000 was introduced in 1985, it represented a new archetype of the tangential tracking turntable era. Cutting-edge advancements allowed for a more compact design that revolutionised turntable silhouettes in the years that followed.

Today, this slim design is given new life — reimagined in solid walnut and cool aluminium.

Beosystem 3000c — a modern rebirth of a design icon

The B&O Beosystem 3000c pairs a meticulously recreated Beogram 3000 turntable with Beolab 8 stereo speakers to deliver a rare fusion of analogue warmth and modern convenience. Hand-finished walnut lamellas and pearl-blasted aluminium recall the original 1985 aesthetic while updated electronics — per-driver Class D amplification, Adaptive Bass Linearization, Beam Width Control and Active Room Compensation — bring contemporary sonic control and scale to living-room listening.

Sonically the system is tuned for impact and refinement: a 5.25" woofer driven by a 200 W amplifier promises authoritative low end and high SPL, a dedicated 3" mid driver yields clear, well-bodied vocals, and a refined 0.6" tweeter with beam control preserves detail without harshness. The result is a wide, well-focused soundstage with strong dynamics that suits both vinyl purists and streamers — the Beosystem supports AirPlay, Spotify Connect and app-based presets for easy integration.

Limited to 100 numbered sets, this is as much a collector’s objet d’art as it is a hi‑fi system. For listeners who prioritise craftsmanship, legacy design and a powerful, tunable sonic presentation, the Beosystem 3000c stands out as a compelling, if exclusive, statement piece.

Pros

  • Deep, controlled bass and strong dynamics driven by high per‑driver amplification and Adaptive Bass Linearization.
  • Wide, precise imaging with Beam Width Control and Active Room Compensation for flexible placement and a stable soundstage.
  • Exceptional craftsmanship and collectible presentation — hand‑finished walnut, re‑anodised aluminium parts and a numbered limited edition.

&

Cons

  • Very limited production run (100 sets) reduces availability and long‑term resale options for buyers.
  • Positioned in the ultra‑luxury bracket, the system’s price limits its value proposition to buyers prioritising design and exclusivity.

Sound Quality

89/100

Bass

90/100

5.25" woofer per speaker driven by a 200 W Class D amp and Adaptive Bass Linearization suggests very strong low-frequency performance for its driver size. SPL specs (101 dB per speaker, 104 dB per pair) and recommended room coverage up to 60 m² further support deep, powerful bass for a bookshelf/stand speaker. No porting info provided; score reflects 'for its size' exceptional output.

Mid

88/100

Dedicated 3" mid driver with a 50 W Class D amp per mid and B&O tuning/presets imply clear, well-bodied midrange and strong vocal presence. Active room compensation and customizable EQ via the app indicate the mids can be very well-controlled and tuned to room/listener preferences.

Treble

86/100

Very small high-frequency driver (0.6") paired with 50 W Class D drive and beam-width control points to refined, extended treble with controlled directivity. The inclusion of adaptive tuning should help avoid sibilance while preserving detail and air.

Soundstage Imaging

92/100

Beam Width Control and Active Room Compensation are explicit features; these typically yield wide, adjustable soundstage and precise imaging. Amplification per driver and room-correction presets support strong depth and stable images across placements.

Dynamics

91/100

High per-driver amplification (200 W woofer + 50 W mid + 50 W tweeter) and high SPL capability indicate excellent macro and micro dynamics and headroom for the speaker's form factor. Thermal protection and active tuning preserve transient control under load.

Build Quality

93/100

Bang & Olufsen materials/design credits and listed finishes (aluminium, walnut, polymer) point to premium cabinetry and craftsmanship. The product family (Beogram/Beolab lineage) and stated designers suggest high-quality components and assembly.

Features Connectivity

80/100

Passive baseline applied. (Agent rule: single-post passive bookshelf baseline = 80). Product specs actually list active features—app control, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Beam Width Control—but per scoring rules for passive category, a fixed baseline was used.

Value for Money

65/100

Price listed at 30000.0 (single value) places this firmly in the luxury bracket; while performance and features are strong, value vs peers is limited unless the buyer prioritizes design/brand and integrated active features. No independent review language provided to justify a higher value score.
