The PX-8 Phono Preamplifier is a revolutionary new product from the minds of Ayre Acoustics, featuring support for moving coil, moving magnet, photo optical cartridges by DS Audio, and more input options coming soon!

By adding the Photo Optical Cartridge input circuitry to your PX-8, you can now consider any of the cartridges from the pioneers at DS Audio and breath new life into your vinyl collection. The marriage of photo optical cartridges with our signature fully-balanced, discrete, zero-feedback circuitry and Diamond Output Stage is unlike anything you have ever heard before with vinyl.

It took us a year of development and hundreds of hours of critical listening to bring this new circuit topology to life with our hallmark standards of performance.

The left and right channel circuits simply insert directly into the main circuit board from the back of the PX-8 and is our easiest user installable option to date. Once installed, preamp will detect what option is installed and automatically label itself accordingly.
