Bespoke components and meticulous circuit design, including our own film capacitors with polypropylene dielectric, deliver faithful reproduction with limitless headroom. However, even the finest circuitry can be compromised by an inferior volume control, which is why we employ arguably the world's finest, the ALPS RK50. Its unrivalled precision preserves every musical nuance, resulting in a purity of sound reproduction that is simply breathtaking.

Remaining true to our vinyl heritage, the built-in phono stage is identical to our award-winning Pulsus II. Its passive RIAA equalisation circuit, using premium-grade capacitors, maintains exceptional linearity, while a dedicated 35VA mains transformer provides independent, low-noise power to each channel. Fully configurable for virtually any cartridge, gain and loading can be adjusted with ease, ensuring optimum performance from your analogue source.

POWER SUPPLY

Derived from the larger power supply developed for our flagship Celsus Pre, the OPUS Pre adapts this proven design into a single chassis, delivering exceptional dynamics, authority and control while allowing music to emerge from an extraordinarily quiet background.

At its heart is the Celsus-derived 500VA toroidal mains transformer, providing immense power reserves and an effortlessly authoritative presentation. Vocals and instruments are projected into your listening room with remarkable scale, depth and precision, creating an almost holographic three-dimensional soundstage.

At its heart lies a highly adaptable phono stage with extensive adjustment options, enabling virtually any moving coil or moving magnet cartridge to be optimised for absolute performance. Fine-tuning is straightforward and precise, allowing your analogue front end to perform at its full potential.

Built around a substantial 20mm solid aluminium front panel and a heavy-gauge steel chassis, the OPUS PRE is engineered to reject vibration and shield sensitive circuitry from external interference.
