Audiovector R 10
Handcrafted danish design. Innovative technological excellence. Enter the dual dimension of sound
Developed entirely from the ground up, the Audiovector R 10 represents the ultimate home audio experience. Every single component has been purpose-designed to deliver the most natural, dynamic, and open sound reproduction we have ever achieved. By immersing the listener in the full breadth, depth and detail of music, it adds a new dimension to every track.
A suite of the latest generation of Audiovector innovations includes the newly developed Dual Air Motion Transformer. Working in harmony with our Soundstage Enhancement Concept (SEC), it delivers an exceptionally open, precise and three-dimensional treble – allowing music not only to be heard, but truly felt.
A proprietary line array bass system radiates sound both forward and backward, dispersing the bass more effectively than a conventional speaker. This significantly enhances realism and makes it easier to feel the music.
The low-frequency array of eight rear-mounted bass drivers is groundbreaking. Representing the equivalent surface area and displacement of a 15-inch woofer, it ensures profound bass extension with controlled articulation, creating a vast and open soundstage with a deep and involving bass.
The Accelerated Force Concept (AFC) bass/midrange structure also sets a new benchmark, accelerating and decelerating the drive units with precision and control. This results in a lightning-fast response, ultra-low distortion, and a physical presence in the sound that you can both hear and feel.
Our uniquely flexible Damping Feature aligns cabinet resonance and energy release in perfect synchrony with the music. The result is a calm, controlled, and profoundly musical performance.

An effortless, extended treble from a distinctive dual AMT tweeter array and thunderous yet controlled low end from the rear line-array bass give the R 10 Arreté a rare blend of resolution and impact. Its slightly warm, highly integrated open midrange and concert‑hall imaging impressed reviewers at Alan Sircom and Jay Garrett.
Pros
- Effortless, highly extended treble with exceptional micro-dynamics thanks to the dual AMT tweeter array.
- Deep, fast and well-controlled bass from the eight rear-mounted long-throw drivers (equivalent to a 15" woofer) that preserves articulation and speed.
- Open, musical midrange with excellent driver integration and a slight lower-mid warmth that adds body to voices and instruments.
- Impeccant build and engineering: hand-crafted, heavily braced cabinets, 6061 aluminium baffles and high-spec crossover components.
&
Cons
- Six-figure price positions the R 10 Arreté firmly in the luxury segment, limiting appeal relative to its performance.
- Benefits from amplifiers with strong current delivery; pairing and the three-position damping switch can be required to optimise bass and damping.
Sound Quality
95/100
Bass
96/100
Both reviews highlight the 8×5" long-throw bass array delivering the surface area and displacement of a 15" woofer with extension to ~27Hz in-room and controlled articulation. Reviewers praise fast, powerful low end with tuneful impact and minimal cabinet pressure build-up, supporting a reference-class bass performance (excellent ceiling for this multi-driver architecture).
Mid
95/100
Critics describe an open, unforced midrange with excellent driver integration and a slight warm lower-mid coloration that adds body to voices and instruments. The AFC/mid driver design and concertina surround are repeatedly credited with precise, undistorted delivery where musical dynamics live.
Treble
96/100
The dual AMT tweeter array (main AMT plus hyper tweeter) is repeatedly described as effortless, extended to 53kHz and exceptionally open and refined. Reviewers note superb micro-dynamics and an airiness that keeps top-end detail vivid without harshness.
Soundstage Imaging
95/100
Both reviewers report a vast, open soundstage with precise, stable imaging—the top-tweeter arrangement and SEC integration are cited as key to concert-hall like perspective and focused images. Subtle changes (covering top tweeters) noticeably reduce focus, reinforcing imaging precision.
Dynamics
95/100
Reviews emphasize lightning-fast transient response, low distortion (0.15% at 90dB SPL cited) and palpable macro/micro dynamics, attributable to the distributed bass array and low-distortion drivers. Neither reviewer reports the speaker 'running out of steam' even at musical peaks.

Build Quality
96/100
Hand-crafted, heavy (~95 kg) cabinets with vacuum-formed high-density fibreboard, extensive internal bracing and 6061 aluminium baffles are detailed by reviewers. Premium finishes and meticulous crossover parts (cryogenic caps, precision resistors) support excellent engineering and fit/finish.
Features Connectivity
80/100
Passive-tower baseline applied. The R 10 includes high-current bi-wire terminals and a three-position amplifier-matching switch, but as a passive design the feature score is capped at the passive baseline per rules.
Value for Money
65/100
Performance is exceptional, but the R 10 is a six-figure proposition (GBP £127,500 / USD $165,000 per pair). Reviewers praise the sonic achievement but do not characterize it as a bargain versus peers at this price, so value is modest relative to cost.
