What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 82/100
The available listening comments point to an open, extended presentation with particularly impressive bass texture and sub-bass reach. Evidence is limited on dynamics, background noise and the breadth of real-world headphone pairings, so these aspects are less clearly established.
Transparency Resolution
87/100
A Head-Fi listener reports more apparent air and extension at both frequency extremes. That description suggests a spacious, clean presentation, although the available excerpts do not discuss fine-detail retrieval or separation in depth.
Tonal Balance Musicality
86/100
The reported balance favors deep sub-bass extension rather than added mid-bass punch, while retaining an airy top end. Bass is described as exceptionally textured and capable of enveloping the stage when the recording calls for it.
Dynamics
78/100
The comments about bass reaching deeply and filling the stage suggest convincing low-frequency scale. The reviews provided say little about transient snap, macro-dynamic contrast or composure at demanding listening levels.
Noise Floor
78/100
Soundnews' review title characterizes the amplifier's power as exceptionally clean. The supplied review text does not specifically address hiss, hum, sensitive IEM use, or background silence with headphones.
Headphone Compatibility
79/100
The available listening excerpt indicates strong bass extension and control, but does not identify the headphones used. Reviewers provide little direct evidence about gain range, sensitive IEM behavior, or performance across high-impedance dynamics and difficult planars.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
75/100
The supplied reviews do not provide meaningful commentary on chassis construction, connectors, controls, thermal behavior, or long-term durability. Soundnews does note a software-assisted volume implementation, but does not assess the physical quality of the control system.
Features Usability
83/100
Soundnews considers the SuperHEAD's software-assisted volume control a notably nicer interface than the Holo Audio Bliss implementation. It also identifies a fully fledged preamplifier section, adding useful system flexibility, though the supplied material does not detail its connections or other facilities.
Value for Money
85/100
At $4,300, the SuperHEAD sits in a premium headphone-amplifier segment. The supplied reviews position it as an end-game amplifier, but do not directly assess whether its performance and facilities represent especially strong value against similarly priced alternatives.
