Carbon HD6 is an 18 AWG cable for high-definition video, RF (cable and satellite TV) and subwoofer applications. Carbon is a high-performance, low-distortion cable that employs superior design and materials, and can be terminated in the field. Carbon features solid 5% silver conductors and 100% shield coverage using a 4-layer shield.
Key Features & Technology Explained
Solid conductors prevent strand-interaction, a major source of dynamic distortion in cables.
5% Silver-Plating is applied to AudioQuest’s Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to improve Noise-Dissipation.
Four alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics "shield the shield," absorbing and reflecting most RF energy before it reaches the layer attached to ground.
All internal conductors are Direction-Controlled to reduce RF noise.
