Audio Physic RHEA III
The Audio Physic RHEA III is built for profound low-frequency reach and serious output headroom, pairing a 12-inch carbon-fiber woofer with a specified 25Hz–180Hz range. Stereophile indicates it outplays the smaller Luna in sheer volume while sharing its claimed subterranean extension, making this a compelling foundation for large-scale music and cinema systems.

What Reviewers Are Saying
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Bass
82/100
The available Stereophile excerpt says the smaller $3,000 Luna shares the Rhea’s claimed 10Hz low-frequency performance, while the Rhea plays louder. That points to unusually deep extension and greater output capability, though the excerpt does not address texture, control, or room-dependent behavior.
Integration
50/100
The review excerpt says nothing about how the Rhea blends with main speakers, avoids localization, or behaves through the crossover region.
Dynamics
62/100
Stereophile’s comparison indicates that the Rhea plays louder than the smaller Luna, suggesting additional output headroom. The excerpt does not describe transient attack, impact, or behavior at demanding listening levels.
Build Quality
50/100
The review excerpt provides no direct assessment of cabinet construction, driver durability, amplifier quality, finish, or long-term reliability.
Features Usability
50/100
The available review material does not discuss controls, connections, setup aids, placement flexibility, or day-to-day usability.
Value for Money
85/100
The excerpt identifies the smaller Luna as a $3,000 model, but gives no current price for the Rhea III and offers no judgment about its value against competing subwoofers. None of the available review material weighs in on whether the Rhea is good value at its asking price.

Manufacturer's Description — Audio Physic
A good subwoofer opens up new perspectives. It can reveal up to 30 percent more of what is actually contained in your recordings, as it reaches into frequency ranges in the bass that even many floor-standing speakers cannot achieve.
RHEA III – Subwoofer for More Sound, More Emotion, More Presence
A subwoofer like the RHEA III is not only the ideal addition to a surround system – it also gives a pure stereo setup noticeably more depth, foundation, and musical authenticity.
Power Meets Precision
At its heart is a powerful 30.5 cm (12-inch) woofer with a carbon-fiber cone. Thanks to its large diaphragm area, it moves massive amounts of air even with small excursions. The result is deep, powerful bass with exceptional control – free from the audible distortion that would otherwise be inevitable at extreme cone movement.
The down-firing design, with a defined distance to the floor, ensures particularly even room excitation and a harmonious bass foundation – regardless of placement within the room.
Power Reserves for Any Dynamic Demand
With 500 watts RMS and up to 900 watts of dynamic power, the RHEA III offers enormous power reserves. Even highly energetic bass passages are reproduced confidently, precisely, and without distortion.
The well-thought-out connection and control panel allows fine adjustment to both room acoustics and speakers. All common connection options are available:
XLR/balanced, line/LFE (RCA), as well as connection via the speaker outputs of an amplifier or receiver.
Thoughtful Design Down to the Smallest Detail – The Cabinet
A mechanically solid cabinet is essential for clean bass reproduction. That’s why the RHEA III is built with rigid, thick walls and is additionally reinforced internally with ceramic foam inserts. This effectively suppresses unwanted vibrations and tonal coloration.
The result is precise bass reproduction – without localized noise sources or coloration in the lower and midrange frequencies.
Modern App-Based Control
In addition to the classic terminal controls, the RHEA III can be conveniently configured via the iWoofer app on a smartphone (iOS & Android). With just a tap, all relevant DSP functions are available – crossovers, parametric EQs, delay, phase, and more.
The optional iWoofer Pro version also offers automatic room calibration (iOS only), using the smartphone microphone to perfectly adapt the sound to the acoustics of your listening room.
VCF – Vibration Control Feet optional
The best feet for our – and other – speakers. VCF provide a substantial improvement of sound performance by reducing transfer of unwanted vibrations while at the same time protecting delicate surfaces. Also available as VCF Component for Hi-Fi separates and as VCF Cable Supports.
Sandwich Cabinet Construction
Our unique Sandwich Cabinets are an innovative way to stop the speaker cabinet from developing an acoustical life of its own. It is especially effective with our stylish glass-finished speakers as the relatively high weight of the glass panels helps dampening the cabinet even better.
