When looking for unobtrusive ways to integrate high-quality hi-fi sound into contemporary living environments, on-wall speakers are often the best choice. Like our Reference On-Wall  which benefits from all the technical subtleties of our Reference Line to deliver a precise, rich and luscious sound while also pleasing the eye with its luxuriously glossy glass finishes. For this to work, however, these speakers must meet the highest standards both technically and visually. Like our Reference On-Wall, which is equipped with all the technical refinements of the Reference series and can be ideally combined with flat screen TVs of all sizes with its elegant glass finish. An unobtrusive solution for those who want to combine excellent sound and a harmonious ambience.

The Reference On-Wall benefit technologically from the knowledge we have gained during the development of our top models. They have the exclusive HHC-III tweeters and the equally exclusive HHCM III woofers. The oscillation system and chassis basket are mechanically decoupled from each other in a radical way in the Hyper-Holographic Cone chassis. Sound-damaging resonances caused by micro-vibrations are thus combated and effectively reduced. The result is a dramatic gain in precision and attention to detail.

The Reference On-Wall has also adopted the elaborate sandwich construction of the case made of three different materials. The different layers each have different damping properties and, when combined, result in an exemplary solid body that is practically immune to partial vibrations and resonances. And of course, our sophisticated turnout technology and high-quality WBT clamps from the nextgen® series are also used in the Reference On-Wall.

This combination of innovative technologies allows the Reference On-Wall to play like a really big box despite its slim appearance. Wall brackets integrated into the rear allow both vertical and horizontal mounting and create a precisely defined distance between the back and the wall, which guarantees optimal bass reproduction.

2-Way Design

The 2-way speaker features two different drivers that share reproduction of the entire frequency range – one mid-woofer (in the case of center speakers, often two of them) and a tweeter. Usually the crossover frequency is set between 2,000Hz and 3,000Hz.

HHCT III – Hyper Holographic Cone Tweeter

Many AUDIO PHYSIC Core Technologies have been combined to build the HHCT-III tweeter. Together, they serve a single purpose: To guarantee an authentic rendition of the music, unaffected by any unwanted vibrations.

Unwanted vibrations have negative effects on sound quality wherever they occur in the signal path. Because AUDIO PHYSIC has made it their mission to fight unwanted vibration and resonance whenever and wherever they occur, the fully decoupled VIBRATION CONTROL TERMINAL (VCT) has been devised.

Dual Basket Design

AUDIO PHYSIC’S unique DUAL BASKET DESIGN is a true break-through innovation and the most important part of the HHCM-III technology. Instead of the tradition single basket, our HHCM-III features two separate baskets to prevent and subdue unwanted vibrations already at the source.

Active Cone Damping

ACTIVE CONE DAMPING is a unique design to reduce resonances in metal diaphragms, developed exclusively by AUDIO PHYSIC.

CCAC – Ceramic Coated Aluminium Cone

By coating a conical aluminium diaphragm with a special ceramic material, AUDIO PHYSIC creates a diaphragm that is at the same time very light as well as extremely rigid. When used together with ACTIVE CONE DAMPING technology the cone diaphragm is virtually immune against any partial oscillations that would otherwise impair the sound.
