Offers a level of clarity and resolution found in the world’s finest speakers

Audio Physic proudly presents the latest Avanti.

However, it is not merely a relaunch of the classic model. The latest Avanti  is a newly developed loudspeaker through and through. The aim of our development team was to produce a modern loudspeaker that is equally stunning in terms of looks, engineering, and sound quality.

Avanti  is impressive, not only due to its elegant appearance – whether in precious veneer or in a luxurious high-gloss finish in glass. More importantly, it combines numerous cutting-edge Audio Physic technologies in its slender frame. It marks the first time that next-generation Hyper Holographic Cone Technology (HHCT III and HHCM SL) has been used for mid-range drivers and tweeters. Through painstaking optimization in the details, harmonic distortion levels were once again noticeably reduced. Thanks to their dual-basket design, the chassis is only indirectly connected to the baffle. The vast effort went into the design, yet – as seen in the high-end and reference-line models – it is rewarded by an impressively precise, extremely detailed and neutral sound.

As in the top series, Avanti  also benefits from the specially-engineered stiffeners in the cabinet. Reinforcements made of open-pored ceramic foam reduce the partial vibrations of the enclosure to negligible levels.

In this, special attention was paid to the bass. This is where the strongest forces are at work. The powerful woofer, an 8.5-inch long-throw chassis, is not positioned as usual on the side or front of the loudspeaker but works instead in the interior in its own housing. This too is additionally stiffened using ceramic foam. The elaborate design offers a host of advantages. To begin with, the frequency range of the Avanti  extends to unbelievably low levels, whilst remaining incredibly contoured. What’s more, with respect to placement, the loudspeaker is less finicky than traditional designs. Even when placed close to the wall, these loudspeakers offer impressive sensitivity and clarity across the entire frequency spectrum.

The Avanti  is available in precious veneers but also in a version featuring a high-gloss finish in glass. In the glass design, the loudspeakers benefit even more from the intelligent, three-layer sandwich construction. The cabinet is stiffer, thus resulting in fewer distorting partial vibrations. Detrimental effects on the sound, generally associated with glass, do not crop up at all.

Like all Audio Physic loudspeakers, the Avanti  series features a terminal panel equipped with nextgen™ terminals of the highest quality. Here as well, any micro-vibrations that could affect the sound are dampened by targeted means.

The Avanti  stylish traverses facilitate setup and guarantee a sure footing on any surface. Thanks to the M8 threads, the Avanti can be easily equipped with the Audio Physic VCF II M8 Magnetic plus feet. Their cutting-edge design enables a noticeably improved audio fidelity and reproduction authenticity. Not only that, the VCF II M8 Magnetic plus feet protect sensitive floors from scratches.

The latest Avanti  adeptly forms a bridge between the demands of a modern living environment and pure, uncompromising sound – totally aligned with our credo: “Nothing But Music”.

Sandwich Cabinet Construction

Our unique Sandwich Cabinets are an innovative way to stop the speaker cabinet from developing an acoustical life of its own. It is especially effective with our stylish glass-finished speakers as the relatively high weight of the glass panels helps dampening the cabinet even better.

HHCM SL

The HHCM SL works without a spider, which means that kinetic energy is transferred in an unimagined way. This creates an outstanding and natural music reproduction that you can’t believe until you hear it.

HHCM SL – Revolutionary performance in the midrange

HHCT III – Hyper Holographic Cone Tweeter

Many AUDIO PHYSIC Core Technologies have been combined to build the HHCT-III tweeter. Together, they serve a single purpose: To guarantee an authentic rendition of the music, unaffected by any unwanted vibrations.

Invisible Subwoofer

Some of our speakers feature an internal woofer inside the cabinet provides the same deep bass and punch as an additional subwoofer without anyone ever having to see it.

Ceramic Foam Bracing

Ceramic Foam is a high-tech material used for internal bracing in many of our speakers. It is much stiffer than MDF although it consists of 85% air. This means, the room taken up by the internal bracing is also part of the effective volume of air the drivers need to work. By using Ceramic Foam, we can build loudspeakers that match and out-perform much bulkier speakers.

Dual Basket Design

AUDIO PHYSIC’S unique DUAL BASKET DESIGN is a true break-through innovation and the most important part of the HHCM-III technology. Instead of the tradition single basket, our HHCM-III features two separate baskets to prevent and subdue unwanted vibrations already at the source.

Active Cone Damping

ACTIVE CONE DAMPING is a unique design to reduce resonances in metal diaphragms, developed exclusively by AUDIO PHYSIC.

Bi-Wiring/Bi-Amping optional

Most our speakers have a regular single-wiring terminal to avoid unnecessary metal or wire bridges that would harm sound quality when used in single-wiring configuration (Which is what most Hi-Fi fans actually use). However, an optional Bi-Wiring/Bi-Amping Terminal can usually be ordered with any new speaker. Retrofitting only on special request.

CCAC – Ceramic Coated Aluminium Cone

By coating a conical aluminium diaphragm with a special ceramic material, AUDIO PHYSIC creates a diaphragm that is at the same time very light as well as extremely rigid. When used together with ACTIVE CONE DAMPING technology the cone diaphragm is virtually immune against any partial oscillations that would otherwise impair the sound.

VCF – Vibration Control Feet optional

The best feet for our – and other – speakers. VCF provide a substantial improvement of sound performance by reducing transfer of unwanted vibrations while at the same time protecting delicate surfaces. Also available as VCF Component for Hi-Fi separates and as VCF Cable Supports.

Deliciously Crispy

Deep, controlled bass and an expansive soundstage define the Avanti, pairing an internal woofer with agile mid/treble that deliver exceptional clarity and low distortion, with pinpoint imaging and dynamic poise. Reviewers from TONEAudio MAGAZINE and Positive Feedback praise its craft and musical immersion, though some find it revealing of upstream flaws.

Positive Feedback

"the Avanti possessed an ineffable grace and maturity that has eluded most speakers in my experience."

Pros

  • Deep, extended and well-controlled bass that reaches into the low 30Hz region.
  • Expansive, precisely layered soundstage and off-axis dispersion for stable imaging.
  • High-resolution, low-distortion mid and treble that deliver clear, non‑fatiguing detail.
  • Outstanding cabinet engineering and finish (internal bracing, ceramic-foam damping, glass options).

&

Cons

  • Can be over‑analytical and ruthlessly revealing of poor recordings or upstream components.
  • Benefits from careful amplifier/room pairing; some reviewers question whether gains justify the higher price point.

Sound Quality

92/100

Bass

94/100

Reviewers repeatedly praise the hidden 8.5" woofer and downward breathing port, noting solid extension to ~31–32 Hz and muscular, well-controlled lows. ToneAudio explicitly reports the Avanti easily hits its 32 Hz limit with strength; What Hi‑Fi. notes agile, punchy lows. Overall bass performance is excellent for the slim tower form factor.

Mid

91/100

Midrange is highly detailed and clean with strong clarity and presence (both reviews). ToneAudio highlights natural tonality and low distortion, while What Hi‑Fi finds the mid a touch sterile and aloof on some vocals. Result: very accurate, slightly analytical mid signature.

Treble

90/100

Treble extension and detail are strong and non‑fatiguing per ToneAudio, aided by a wide-dispersion tweeter. What Hi‑Fi cautions the speakers can ruthlessly expose upstream harshness and occasionally feel over‑analytical. Clean, revealing treble with occasional perceived edge depending on source.

Soundstage Imaging

95/100

Both reviews emphasize expansive, focused imaging and excellent off‑axis dispersion. What Hi‑Fi reports stable, locked‑in images that extend beyond the cabinets; ToneAudio praises an enveloping stage and monitor‑like imaging. Exceptional staging for the price and size.

Dynamics

88/100

ToneAudio praises dynamic oomph (especially when using the optimal impedance tap), with convincing transient realism. What Hi‑Fi finds some lack of cohesion and reduced ability to communicate larger dynamic contrasts at this price. Strong micro‑dynamics and responsiveness, but occasional macro‑cohesion shortfall noted.
