What Reviewers Are Saying
SOUND QUALITY PERFORMANCE 88/100
Reviews describe a pleasingly spacious, tube-inflected presentation that combines streaming convenience with added analogue warmth. The conversion is said to work well, although the available commentary suggests the main gain is soundstage breadth rather than a major leap in fine detail.
Tonal Balance Musicality
90/100
The Audio Tailor highlights the product's blend of analogue warmth and digital convenience. Psyphonyx Audio found it sounded very good, with the tube stage bringing a more open and expansive presentation.
Resolution Detail
85/100
Psyphonyx Audio appreciated the wider soundstage but did not hear a substantial increase in detail, describing the DAC as broadly comparable in that respect. There is little further commentary on low-level retrieval, separation, or fine texture.
Digital Performance
88/100
Psyphonyx Audio reports that the conversion works well, while The Audio Tailor sees the design as successfully joining tube character to a modern streaming source. Neither review identifies obvious digital harshness or operational digital faults.
FEATURES USABILITY PERFORMANCE 90/100
The WTX-StreamTubes appears straightforward to install and control, with responsive app behaviour and reliable Spotify integration noted in use. Its network, Bluetooth, and analogue-output provisions make it a flexible compact streamer for adding tube character to an existing system.
Streaming Software
90/100
Psyphonyx Audio found the app responsive and reported that volume changes tracked correctly between computer and app. The unit was recognised immediately over a wired network, and Spotify operation was reported as reliable.
Features Connectivity
89/100
Ethernet and Wi-Fi networking are joined by Bluetooth and RCA analogue output. The reviewer reports that these functions worked properly and that the streamer connected directly with Spotify output.
Assessments of Build Quality, Usability, and Overall Propositions.
Build Quality
84/100
The tubes are housed inside the compact chassis and visible through a front window, an arrangement the reviewer found appealing. The review also mentions military-grade tubes, but offers little assessment of enclosure rigidity, connectors, or longer-term durability.
Value for Money
90/100
Within its listed $399-$699 price range, Psyphonyx Audio calls it an inexpensive way to bring tube sound to streaming. The review does not directly compare competing streamers, but regards the added spaciousness and tube presentation as a worthwhile upgrade.

THE ART OF STREAMING
What could be nicer than the sound of vinyl?
This ability to make music more lively, less aggressive and truly "warmer".
We sought to obtain this sound from current dematerialized sources. After various prototypes, it turned out that using 5703 subminiature tubes was the ideal solution, so we designed a Class A tube output stage that brought the "magic" of vinyl.
Achieving this result seemed possible by combining several technologies and designs. And that's exactly what we did!
The WTX-StreamTubes is a WiFi or ethernet network player, integrating numerous streaming services such as Spotify, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music, etc., several thousand local, national and worldwide radio stations via TuneIn or vTuner, and playback of your local music library stored on your computer, smartphones, tablets or network drive (NAS).
The WTX-StreamTubes feature a full range of connectors. You can connect our Bluetooth Direct Digital X-FTB01 or X-FTB02 HD dongle via its proprietary port.
The Advance PlayStream app for controlling WTX-StreamTubes is available for free download from the AppStore (iOS) and GooglePlay store (Android). DLNA compatible.
With this application, you can control several Advance Paris products with network functionality. You can play the same music in all rooms, or different music in each room.
