Designing a bookshelf loudspeaker is no easy task, since the challenge is to reproduce low frequencies in a small volume.

First and foremost, the cabinetry has to be as rigid as possible, and anti-vibration, which implies the use of high-density materials, combined with a high level of quality.

The new KC100 is no exception. The speaker's interior volume is meticulously calculated, as are the dimensions of the tuning port for each of the drivers used. The Bass Reflex solution was chosen to enhance bass response and improve efficiency.

The loudspeakers used in the KC100 are custom-built to rigorously achieve the desired result. Boomers
have treated paper diaphragms for greater sonic neutrality, and the moving coils are made of the purest copper and mounted on a kapton support.

For greater smoothness and the absence of aggressiveness, the tweeters have impregnated fabric membranes. The voice coils are cooled in ferrofluid.
Despite the care taken with the cabinetry and the quality of our loudspeakers, the final result will be determined by the crossover! Advance Paris has developed a precise and rigorous crossover technique that respects both the electrical and acoustic phase. The choice of the best components - air-cooled chokes, polypropylene capacitors, precision ceramic resistors, non-contact positioning - is the key to our success.
